The town of Folkestone is located southeast of London England in Kent.
It is easily reached by train from London, by Chunnel from France or by
ferry service from Dover. Its central location makes access to
Folkestone from the continent extremely easy.
Because of its location on the English Channel, the climate in Folkestone
is moderate. The waters are moderated by the warm Gulf Stream.
The closest major airport to Folkestone is London Gatwick, however,
London Heathrow is also easily assessable by train, coach or automobile.
